What is Isekaigen?
Isekaigen is a browser-based AI text RPG platform built around the isekai genre — stories where a character is transported to, or reborn in, a fantasy world. On Isekaigen, that world is entirely driven by AI, meaning every action you take shapes a unique, responsive narrative.

The core idea
Section titled “The core idea”Every game on Isekaigen works like an interactive novel powered by AI. You type what your character does or says, and the AI continues the story. But Isekaigen goes far beyond a basic AI text generation — it layers real RPG systems, a memory engine, quest tracking, NPC relationships, and world lore on top of every response.
The AI doesn’t just improvise. It knows:
- Your character’s background, personality, faction, and class
- The world’s history, power systems, and factions
- What NPCs you’ve met and how they feel about you
- Important events from past turns, stored as long-term memories
- Your current quest and what stage you’re on
- A high-level plot arc to keep the story moving forward
All of this is woven together every single turn.
Two ways to play

Section titled “RPG Mode”RPG Mode is the full game experience. Your character has stats (Strength, Resilience, Agility, Charisma), gains XP, levels up, and earns Level Up Points to spend. You can take on multi-stage quests, and watch your relationships with NPCs grow — or deteriorate — as a tracked score.
Story Mode
Section titled “Story Mode”Story Mode strips away all the RPG mechanics and gives you a pure narrative canvas. There are no stats, no XP, no quests — just you and the AI writing a story together. You still have access to the Memory System, Plot Builder, and Lore Book, so the story stays coherent even over hundreds of turns.
The world ecosystem

Section titled “Community worlds”Anyone can create a world and make it public. When you browse play.isekaigen.com, you’re browsing a library of player-created worlds spanning 16+ genres — fantasy, xianxia, cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, space opera, and more. Each world comes with its own lore, factions, power systems, characters, and a starting scenario.
You don’t need to create anything to start playing. Pick a world, pick a character, and go.
Build your own world
Section titled “Build your own world”If you want to create a world, Isekaigen offers two paths:
- AI World Builder — describe your world in a single prompt and the AI generates everything in 20–40 seconds.
- Manual World Builder — build everything by hand with full control over every detail.
Once your world is live, you can play it yourself or make it public for others to discover.

Credits system
Section titled “Credits system”Most actions in Isekaigen cost credits — the platform’s in-game currency. Credits are used for:
- Each story turn (cost varies by writing model)
- Generating quests
- Activating the Plot Builder for a new arc
- Generating images for locations or enemies
- Building a world with the AI builder
Free accounts receive credits through daily login rewards and promotions. Paid tiers receive larger credit allowances and unlock advanced features like custom quest generation and longer world builder prompts.

💡 Tip: Wanderer accounts can fully play both Story and RPG modes. The main limitations are quest customization and world-builder prompt length.
